About the job

We are helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find an Applications Engineer to support the configuration, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) systems and engineering applications.

In this role, you’ll serve as a key onsite resource supporting internal engineering users and business stakeholders within a fast-paced technical environment. You’ll help manage application configurations, workflows, reporting, integrations, and user support activities while partnering closely with infrastructure, engineering, and offshore support teams to maintain and improve critical engineering systems.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, customer-focused, and comfortable supporting enterprise applications while making hands-on configuration or scripting updates when needed.

As an Applications Engineer, you'll:

Serve as the onsite point of contact for ALM and engineering application support within the Foster City office.
Partner directly with engineering users and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and provide application support.
Support application configuration, workflow updates, permissions management, access changes, and production support activities.
Assist with requirements management workflows, including drafting, approvals, signoff, release management, and supplier-facing processes.
Develop and maintain dashboards, live reports, and reporting solutions to support engineering and operational visibility.
Support minor scripting, configuration, and technical fixes using Java, JavaScript, Velocity, Python, or related technologies.
Collaborate with offshore resources and cross-functional teams on tickets, enhancements, upgrades, and system improvements.
Monitor application performance and support troubleshooting, issue escalation, and resolution activities.
Participate in planned upgrades, maintenance activities, and deployments, including occasional scheduled weekend support.
Evaluate and support new tools, integrations, and engineering system enhancements as business needs evolve.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Development experience in Java, Javascript, Velocity and Python
