Our portfolio includes Synthetic Vision System (SVS), Airport Moving Map (AMM), Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS), and Combined Vision System (CVS)—products that provide pilots with real‑time terrain awareness, airport layout guidance, flight information, and advanced vision capabilities.

As a Software Engineer I, you will contribute to the embedded software that powers these systems, helping deliver the next generation of situational awareness products for commercial, business, and military platforms.

This is an onsite position.

What You Will Do

  •  Contribute to the design, development, implementation, integration, and verification of embedded avionics software for SVS, AMM, IFIS, and CVS products.

  •  Apply critical thinking to real, safety‑critical challenges that impact how pilots safely operate and navigate aircraft.

  •  Implement software features using languages such as C and Python, following established coding standards and engineering processes.

  •  Develop and review software requirements, ensuring clarity, correctness, and traceability.

  •  Support verification activities by creating and executing requirements‑based tests.

  •  Participate in certification activities following DO‑178C guidelines and collaborate closely with systems, hardware, and certification engineering teams.

  •  Help improve team efficiency through emerging development practices, AI‑assisted engineering tools, and evolving automation capabilities.

  •  Demonstrate ownership for assigned tasks, proactively communicate progress, raise roadblocks, and understand how your work fits into the overall schedule.

  •  Learn and contribute in a collaborative, supportive team environment that values positivity, adaptability, respect, and growth.

  • What You Will Learn

  •  How to develop and verify embedded, safety‑critical avionics software used by pilots worldwide.

  •  How SVS, AMM, IFIS, and CVS systems function and integrate into modern flight‑deck architectures.

  • The fundamentals of DO‑178C software certification, requirements‑based development, and ARP4754A systems processes.

  •  Best practices for writing requirements, implementing embedded software, and conducting rigorous verification.

  • How to apply avionics domain knowledge to real engineering tasks and retain that knowledge for future work.

  •  Experience working within CI/CD development pipelines and exposure to automation and AI‑enhanced engineering tools.

  • Cross‑discipline collaboration with experienced systems, hardware, and certification engineers.

  •  How to build a strong foundation for a future technical career in aerospace engineering.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date
