Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following disciplines: Reliability System Safety and Supportability.

The Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) Life Cycle Engineering department is seeking a Principal Logistics Specialist (Sustainment Services) to support programs onsite in Woburn, MA. In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team to oversee repair contracts for sensor systems, ensuring repairs are tracked, completed, and returned to customers in line with contract requirements. You will operate in a dynamic environment, prioritizing program needs and collaborating across functions, including operations, supply chain, and finance, to provide accurate reporting to customers. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of factory operations, and a proven ability to solve critical issues, this role may be perfect for you!

What You Will Do

  • Support the Integrated Product Team Lead in directing asset repair and return activities and providing logistical oversight of cross functional areas.

  • Track assets as they proceed through the repair process.

  • Prepare correspondence/reports for internal and external collaboration and approval. Evaluate expenditures and schedules for repairs.

  • Partner in the development of long-term repair and return strategies in concurrence with technical requirements and customer needs.

  • Assess the repair and return process and trends. Recommend improvements to increase process efficiency and decrease turn-around times.

  • Track, manage and report status and budget, and participating in estimates at complete. Provide data for monthly contract deliverables, participating in program reviews, and other customer meetings.

  • Participate in proposals and developing basis of estimates. Contribute to risk and opportunity management.

  • Mentor and develop team members.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Experience with logistics support, depot repair facilities and related processes and/or manufacturing.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Detail orientated and demonstrated ability to effectively work in a team environment, with self-initiative, strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Knowledge, understanding and application of logistics principles.

  • Radar system product knowledge and or experience, and experience with PRISM, MSALT, or similar SAP and Citrix systems.

  • Understanding of government acquisitions process, DoD statues, and DoD/DFAR regulations. Experience developing and routing DD250 and DD1149 forms.

  • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule

  • Proficiency with gathering, distilling and analyzing quantities of data to identify trends, and intermediate skills using MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
