Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Engineer Planning Analyst to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite; remote work is not available.

Exciting position offer the opportunity to coordinates with technical leadership and cross-functional Integrated Program Teams to manage Training and Support Equipment development, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with technical leadership in a cross functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical objectives

  • Manage cross functional & horizontal execution for Training & Support Equipment development

  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers, management, and other program stakeholders

  • Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks to include developing Engineering rhythm

  • Serve as Work Package Manager for Training and Support Equipment disciplines

  • Track budget actuals against predictions and financial performance against the full EV performance management baseline, participate in CAM status calls, prepare status for/attend weekly status meeting, provide bi-monthly Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) status, support stakeholder meetings, review Actual Hours reports for time charging accuracy and alignment with IMS status.

  • Support logistics team, generate staffing requirements, documentation, and forecasts

  • Support agile alignment to QSST & IMS

  • Adhere to all internal processes for Product Support

  • Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience, OR Master’s degree, with 3 years’ experience; PhD with 1 year experience

  • Experience in project management and/or control account management

  • Experience with CAM and EVM methodologies

  • Experience in contracts executing full-earned value management

  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance

  • Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
