Description -

The category product manager will play a critical role in managing a segment of HP’s home printing portfolio to achieve product category financial and business goals. This person will partner with US retail and commercial business development, sales teams, marketing, demand generation, COE, finance and operational partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the North America 4P product strategy and plan to deliver the organization’s quarterly and annual financial objectives and KPIs.
  • Monitors Key performance indicators (KPIs) and sales performance to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive end-to-end product life cycle management processes
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback and data to understand customer needs, preferences and pain points. Translates these insights into actionable improvements.
  • Manage and drive weekly product lifecycle and planning related topics to closure while collaborating with sales, channel development, marketing and operations.
  • Partner with demand generation and operations to manage inventory to target
  • Stay up to date with industry and competitive trends to evolve the positioning of portfolio
  • Anticipate and plan for competitive threats and risks.
  • Brings in logical and analytical thinking in problem solving

Education and Experience Required:

•            BA or BS in marketing or related field or MBA preferred.

•            5+ years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experienced preferred.

               

Knowledge and Skills:

•            5 years in product management / marketing fundamentals

  • Proven track record of managing and leading cross function teams
  • Demonstrated experience working with selling partners

•            Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to drive insights into action

•            Strong communication skills at senior management internally and externally.

•            Negotiation skills and ability to frame the product and promotion value proposition to customers/partners.

•            Leadership skills and cross functional expertise (sales, supply chain, marketing)

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $112,600 to $173,450 USD
annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
