Reporting directly to the Response Supervisor, the Gas Compression Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and overseeing repairs on a variety of Caterpillar Gas and Diesel engines in the shop and field environments.Compensation Perks

Job Description:
Troubleshooting Caterpillar equipment and perform equipment repairs
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Various related duties as required
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
Journeyperson Certification in Mechanic, Electrician, Millwright and Automotive may also be considered
Experience in the Gas Compression Industry
Minimum 3 years experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
Minimum 3 years experience working out of a Service truck
Completion, or in process of completing, Finning S-level courses
5-year drivers abstract is required
Assets:
Working on Caterpillar gas engines and compressors
Previous field service experience
Note:
This position operates on a 5x2 schedule, based out of our Red Deer facility
Out of town work occasionally required
Shift work may be required
Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
