The role

Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Own significant parts of a customer-facing software product spanning both the user interface and the server side. Take problems from definition through to shipped, validated features, proposing your own solutions and working directly with leadership and customers.

What you'll do

- Build and ship features across a modern web frontend and a high-throughput backend service.

- Tune, optimize and load-test servers as traffic grows many times over.

- Design data systems and machine learning training infrastructure that support automated experimentation.

- Collaborate directly with company leaders and customers to design, build and deliver new product experiences.

- Own features end-to-end, including writing specs, shipping, testing and validating with real users.

- Roughly 3 to 7 years of professional engineering work covering both client-side and server-side development.

- Hands-on backend skills, for example in Python or Go, or with cloud infrastructure.

- Hands-on frontend skills, for example with TypeScript, JavaScript or React.

- A strong track record, such as time on a top-tier engineering team, founder experience, a strong computer science degree, or standout side projects and open source work.

- Comfort working independently, proposing solutions to open-ended problems and executing on them.

- Willingness to relocate and work on-site five days a week, with occasional weekend pushes.

- Authorization to work in the United States.

Bonus points

- Experience taking new products or features from zero to launch.

- Time spent as an early engineer at a young company or on a compact product group.
