Warehouse Expeditor
The Opportunity:
Currently seeking a Material Delivery Expeditor. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team, responsible for supporting daily Supply Chain functions. This position is located on-site at our Melbourne, Florida office.
Responsibilities:
• Supports and assists activities within multiple warehouse and inventory control disciplines across the Supply Chain and Production processes.
• Primarily responsible for the manual movement, monitoring, and delivery of materials between warehouse facilities and support Manufacturing Orders released by Production / Material Planners via company vehicles.
• Assist shipping and receiving team with the receipt of inbound material.
• Delivers received materials to respective areas for proper storage.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of truckload shipments.
• Assembles orders, checks against customer orders and reports incomplete orders.
• Read and follow work orders and verbal instructions to ascertain material items to be moved
• Load, unload, and move materials within or near warehouse, stockroom, storage facility, or manufacturing floor.
• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, pallet jack, or forklift.
• Provide materials to and from inventory location or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other tools as necessary.
• Able to lift 50 pounds, use rolling ladder going up to 12 feet, and reach for items on shelves
• Able to spend considerable time standing, bending, and walking to and from the warehouse and other areas / buildings
• Ability to prioritize and multitask daily workload.
• Ability to drive company van, manual transmission box truck.
• Operates pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment in a safe manner
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Assist in packaging, assembling wood crating and loading large shipments.
Qualifications:
Required:
• US citizenship due to contract requirements and nature of the work
• Ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance, due to the nature of the work and contract requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process
• Forklift/reach truck experience
• Valid Driver’s License required
• Ability to drive manual transmission 26ft box truck
Desired:
• Experience working in a warehouse environment supporting the manufacturing process for a defense contractor
• Active SECRET security clearance
• Experience using Costpoint
• Class A CDL
• Ability to prioritize and multitask daily work
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
