Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Supply Chain Planning Specialists - Level 2. There are two openings for this position, both supporting the Surveillance & Targeting Business Unit. These are hybrid positions and will require on-site presence in Linthicum, MD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Active RF OU Supply Chain Planner (1 opening)
- Define and develop material strategy; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements; Analyze lead times and identify critical path procurement
- Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; plan inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products
- Analyze purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
- Plan inventory levels based on dependent and independent Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements; Create/reduce supply requirements based on inventory adjustments
- Participate in long-term capacity and resource planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs
- Create/release requisitions; Receive/review requirements for non-standard parts
Supplier Management & Capital/IRAD Supply Chain Planner (1 opening)
- Manage a set of critical suppliers to drive on-time delivery of high-quality products
- Perform Open Order Report (OOR) management to include dock dates, need dates, contract dates using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools
- Develop strong supplier relationships and lead supplier issue management, prioritization, expediting to support S&T program needs
- Provide regular feedback through Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs), quarterly supplier assessments (SAMS), and creation of Supplier Performance Management Plans (SPRMs)
- Define and develop material strategy; aggregate and prioritize demand requirements; analyze lead times and identify critical path procurement for IRAD/NCTA/Capital projects
- Create/release requisitions; receive/review requirements for non-standard parts
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, business, or project management. Or in lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, business, or project management.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and SAP
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- TS/SCI clearance
- Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
- Experience working in an engineering environment
- Knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
