The Stinger Blk I Missile Production Program’s Guidance Section Technical Lead is a technical role responsible for leading a multi-disciplined, geographically dispersed team in the delivery of the Guidance Sections (GS). The GS Technical Lead will frequently interface with internal and external stakeholders, technical subject matter experts, key major suppliers and government customers. The role requires a high level of execution expertise coupled with the ability to lead a high visibility production program. The additional responsibilities of the GS Technical Lead aspect of the role include ensuring all GS related scope across the Stinger Blk I production is executed per proper technical rigor, with a cohesive technical approach and compliant to our execution practices. Occasional Failure Investigations may be conducted to determine the root cause of production issues as well as corrective actions implementation in engineering scope or manufacturing environment.
This is an Onsite role in Tucson, AZ.
What You Will Do
Collaborate with the Guidance Section Integrated Product Team Lead to drive execution of technical work scope as defined in the program schedule and objectives.
Work with the technical team on production testing required for the sell off of Guidance Section Lots, data analyses, data reviews and reviews of CDRLs being technical test reports
Provide technical leadership to the GS IPT or SMEs working with the program or partners working on problems resolutions related to Guidance Sections, Seekers, Cryo Systems, Optical Systems, Gyro, and other sub-components
Manage the engineering support for the production of Guidance Section deliveries with a challenging schedule
Review and/or lead production related Failure Investigations to ensure implementation of proper level of technical rigor and corrective actions
Perform data collection activities, including review and analysis of SPC/production data, and provide detailed reports of results when needed
Provide technical direction, expertise and review for Technical Data Package (TDP) maintenance and variance generation
Communicate to both RTX and program leadership to provide status, accomplishments, issues, and help needed
Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify constraints, risks, and improvement opportunities
Contribute to strategic roadmaps focused on capacity growth, technology insertion, infrastructure upgrades, obsolescence mitigation, and future capabilities
Support proposals, business case development, supplier assessments, and Make/Buy/Where analyses
Provide mentoring and guidance to team members
Collaborate and effectively communicate with other IPTs, program leadership, customers, and business associates both internal and external to Raytheon
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
Experience managing a multi-disciplined Hardware Engineering Team
Experience with technical team and supplier management
Experience using program management tools such as Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) or simular and Risk and Opportunity Management to identify issues and develop recommended courses of action to program leadership
Qualifications We Prefer
Familiarity with Stinger Block I Production Program
Advanced Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
Excellent presentation and proposal skills
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to drive technical failure investigations and production resolutions
Experience managing supplier development of complex subsystems
Over 4 years of experience in managing a multi-disciplined Hardware Engineering Team through the product development lifecycle
Expert knowledge of multiple work areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
