Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Sr. Principal Contract Administrator (Level 4) to join its team of qualified, and diverse professionals. This position is full-time on-site and offers a 9/80 Schedule. This position will be located in Jacksonville, FL. Candidates that are able to work from another Weapons Integration & Mission Solutions Business Unit Northrop Grumman site will be given consideration with preference for employees in Lake Charles, LA and BWI Campuses. 

The successful applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector and will support the Platform Systems Modernization Operating Unit (PSM OU) by directly supporting our P-3 Program on day to day contracts activities. The successful candidate will be a highly organized individual with the ability to manage customer relationships while collaborating internally with program and functional team members to facilitate successful contract execution and resolve emerging issues. Candidate must have knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS). 

In this role, the selected candidate will:  

  • Work complex assignments independently and support Finance, Program Management, and various levels of Management 
  • Lead proposal preparation, contract negotiation and contract administration activities from proposal through closeout. 
  • Enter and manage data in the Contract Management System, financial and delivery systems. 
  • Participate in customer meetings, monitoring compliance to contract requirements and leading the change management process. 
  • Ensure contract terms and conditions are negotiated within company guidelines. 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 8 years relevant experience in U.S. Government contract administration and management or Masters Degree with 6 years relevant experience. 
  • Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree 
  • Must be able to effectively work with the management of other organizations (program management, subcontracts, business management, finance, and supply chain management) as well as representatives of Government agencies 
  • Must have a demonstrated understanding of and experience with FAR and DFARS 
  • Must have effective proposal development skills, excellent negotiation skills, and excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Must possess excellent decision-making skills that support resolution of complex problems while minimizing risk to the Corporation 
  • Advanced skills using MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to obtain a CBP background investigation

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Strong negotiation skills with demonstrated experience  
  • Experience negotiating a variety of agreements and terms and conditions 
  • Experience with sustainment, engineering and logistics contracts 

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,400.00 - $168,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
