Northrop Grumman is looking for a Systems Engineer - Integration and Test to support our Systems Engineering Integration & Test (SEIT) department on the EGI-M program based out of Woodland Hills, California. As a member of the SEIT department you’ll work in a fast-paced team environment alongside physicists, design engineers, and superconducting foundry engineers to make our technologies a reality.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, implementation, and verification of tests algorithms and software and simulation tools to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and remediate equipment issues to support system build-out and sell-off.
  • Communicate project status to the Integration and Test (I&T) IPT Lead.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers to perform system architecture characterization studies on various system components.
  • Design, develop, and implement testing methods for individual pieces of equipment (both custom and COTS) and entire systems.
  • Compile data and help to define changes required in testing methodology, equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, and new testing requirements.
  • This is a full‑time, on‑site role in Woodland Hills, CA.

Basic Qualifications for Staff DO-229 Systems Engineer (I&T) Lead:

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of DO-229D Appendix R.
  • Knowledge of DO-178C development process.
  • Knowledge of TSO/MSO-C145.
  • Working Knowledge of Test Automation/Simulation for GPS Integrity Verification and Validation.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use basic manual tools.
  • This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications for Staff DO-229 Systems Engineer (I&T) Lead:

  • Active Secret security clearance.
  • Working knowledge of standard test equipment: network analyzers, oscilloscopes, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and/or signal analyzers.
  • Working knowledge of Spirent or other GPS testing equipment.

Primary Level Salary Range: $177,000.00 - $265,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
