ServiceNow Developer
The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer supporting USTRANSCOM. This role is responsible for the design, development, configuration, implementation, and ongoing optimization of ITOM and ITSM modules. The successful candidate will leverage their deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and ITOM/ITSM to build the CMDB and ITSM modules. This is a hands-on technical role that requires strong development capabilities within the ServiceNow platform, particularly with ITSM and ITOM, combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
ServiceNow ITOM & ITSM Development & Configuration:
Design, develop, and configure, ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and CMDB, while adhering to best practices.
Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITSM modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
Develop and enhance ITOM/ITSM workflows, business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI policies, and data policies.
Configure and optimize discovery patterns, sensors, and probes (e.g., Discovery, Service Mapping, Tanium, MECM, AD) to feed accurate configuration item data into the CMDB.
Develop custom integrations between ITOM/ITSM modules and other systems (e.g., monitoring tools, network management systems, external CMDBs) using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and other integration methods.
Create and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and performance analytics within ITOM/ITSM to provide actionable insights into service health, CI relationships, and process performance.
CMDB & Service Mapping Optimization:
Drive CI class model design, data reconciliation, and identification rules within the CMDB to ensure accurate configuration data and CI relationships.
Identify opportunities to improve CMDB health, data quality, and CI completeness through effective use of ITOM features (e.g., Discovery schedules, reconciliation rules, deduplication).
Support the implementation of business service maps to accurately represent application and infrastructure dependencies.
Assist in defining and utilizing CMDB governance, data ownership, and configuration management policies and procedures within the ServiceNow platform.
System Maintenance & Support:
Perform regular health checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of ITOM and ITSM modules.
Support ServiceNow platform upgrades and ensure ITOM/ITSM functionality is maintained including operability of customizations and configurations.
Collaborate with IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure data integrity and system stability.
Provide expert-level support and guidance to ITSM process owners, CMDB analysts, and other stakeholders.
Documentation & Collaboration:
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and process flows.
Work closely with IT Service Managers, Infrastructure teams, and other IT stakeholders to gather requirements, convert business needs into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to overall development best practices.
Provide training and knowledge transfer to end-users and junior team members.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in informational technology
Secret Clearance
Security+, ServiceNow, or similar Certification to support elevated privileges
Up to 10% CONUS travel
5+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer/Engineer.
3+ years of dedicated experience implementing, configuring, and optimizing ServiceNow ITOM modules, including Discovery, Service Mapping, and CMDB.
Proven experience with ITSM modules including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
Familiar with JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and other ServiceNow scripting languages/frame

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
The proposed salary range for this position is:
