We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time  position  for a Senior Principal Factory Interface & Test Solutions Lead with at least ten (10) years of hardware engineering experience.  This position will be the primary interface between the Test Solutions organization and the Andover site. This role provides a single communication touchpoint and ensures that factory needs, challenges, and strategic plans are clearly represented within Test Solutions. The Test Solutions (TS) Center within the Hardware Engineering Discipline is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing Production and Engineering Test Equipment (TE) solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on designers using the latest technologies and tools to integrate state-of-the-art test solutions. 

TS products are utilized in engineering labs, foreign and domestic depots, and in production testing environments utilized for tactical products. TS has work opportunities across all phases of the engineering lifecycle, including demonstrations, early engineering tests, design verification tests, production, and post-production sustainment.

What You Will Do:

  • Strengthen communication and coordination between Test Solutions and factory operations.

  • Speed up issue resolution by directing factory concerns to the right technical teams.

  • Ensure factory needs and feedback shape Test Solutions plans and execution.

  • Support predictable factory/test performance through consistent, aligned processes.

  • Factory Interface: Serve as the primary contact for all factory interactions with Test Solutions and keep factory leadership, PTE, and operations informed.

  • Strategic Planning & Alignment: Help drive long‑term factory planning (capital needs, spares, preventive maintenance) and communicate production changes impacting Test Solutions staffing, schedules, or technical plans.

  • Issue Intake & Routing: Collect, triage, and route factory test issues to the correct engineering teams. Build an engineering support capability for factory troubleshooting. Track issue status and provide updates to both factory and Test Solutions leaders.

  • Factory Advocacy: Represent factory priorities in Test Solutions reviews, metrics discussions, and operational planning. Ensure factory readiness throughout proposal, startup, execution, validation, and transition-to-production phases.

  • Capital & Program Support: Support capital proposals and partner with Execution Leads on planning, LRE reviews, and TE development. Ensure factory needs are met during deployment and handoff of test solutions. Lead TE proposals for long‑range planning and support TS center initiatives.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years relevant experience

  • At least ten (10) years of leadership experience overseeing mid- to large-scale technical teams and projects

  • Experience trouble shooting of production test equipment. Strong understanding of production test processes, test equipment lifecycle, and operational constraints

  • Experience with communicating effectively across engineering and operations teams

  • Experience with bidding proposals and long-range planning

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience supporting technical issue resolution, and mentoring early career staff members, or managing project teams of various sizes

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
