Introduction
We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Lead / Domain Expert to join the IP Engineering team in Hsinchu, Taiwan. This is a senior technical leadership position responsible for driving the development and delivery of high-performance compute processor IP solutions that support GF’s product and technology roadmap.The successful candidate will serve as a recognized technical authority and trusted engineering leader, providing strategic direction, technical expertise, and execution leadership across multiple projects, functions, and global development sites. This role requires a strong combination of deep domain knowledge, hands-on engineering capability, project execution excellence, and people leadership to ensure successful product delivery, technical innovation, and organizational growth.Working in a highly collaborative global environment, this individual will influence technology decisions, guide engineering teams through complex development challenges, engage with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering methodologies, processes, and talent development initiatives.
Your Role
Technical Leadership & Project Execution
Serve as the engineering technical lead or domain expert for the IP Engineering organization, driving the development of high-performance compute processor IP products.
Provide technical leadership in planning, execution, and delivery across technical business engagements and product development programs.
Lead or drive one or more engineering functional units with accountability for project execution, signoff readiness, and successful product delivery.
Author, review, and approve execution strategies, technical specifications, development plans, and key project deliverables.
Ensure high-quality execution through engineering excellence, risk management, milestone tracking, and disciplined development practices.
Drive cross-functional alignment to meet program objectives, product quality targets, and schedule commitments.
Product Development & Engineering Excellence
Provide technical direction and expertise across relevant engineering domains, which may include:
Architecture analysis
Microarchitecture definition
Logic design and implementation
Formal verification
Simulation verification
Engineering methodology and flows
Signoff and delivery processes
Contribute hands-on technical leadership where required based on business priorities and individual expertise.
Drive technical decision-making and problem-solving for complex design and development challenges.
Champion quality improvement initiatives, design methodologies, and engineering best practices across projects.
Cross-Site and Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple geographic locations to ensure effective execution and delivery.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on:
Technology roadmap planning
New project initiation
Customer technical engagements
Product development strategies
Methodology development
Product delivery and deployment
Development system initiatives and system bring-up activities
Facilitate effective communication and technical alignment among global teams and stakeholders.
Organizational Leadership & Talent Development
Contribute to organizational operations and technical strategy aligned with business and product development objectives.
Build and develop high-performing, highly engaged engineering teams.
Coach, mentor, and guide engineers to strengthen technical capabilities and accelerate career growth.
Drive talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
Elevate team capabilities through technical leadership, process improvements, methodology enhancements, and knowledge-sharing programs.

Process & Methodology Development
Establish and improve engineering processes, workflows, and methodologies to enhance productivity, scalability, and product quality.
Drive execution discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering teams.
Ensure adoption of industry best practices and robust development methodologies to support successful project outcomes.
Job Requirements
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
10+ years of experience in digital front-end design, implementation, verification, validation, or project management for compute/IP development, including significant technical leadership and signoff accountability.
Proven track record of leading engineering teams and delivering high-quality products with strong customer focus; multi-site and multi-level leadership experience is a plus.
Strong expertise in processor, memory, and system architecture.
Hands-on experience in micro-architecture, RTL design, and verification methodologies (UVM/OVM, formal verification, functional coverage), including technical specification development.
Proficient in SystemVerilog, Verilog, C/C++, Assembly, Python, Perl, and scripting languages.
Experience with industry-standard EDA tools, including simulation, synthesis, linting, formal verification, coverage analysis, flow automation, CI/CD, source control, and issue tracking systems.
Demonstrated success working in global, multi-site engineering environments.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills, including prioritization, risk assessment, resource planning, execution tracking, and ROI-based decision-making.
Ability to define, review, and improve engineering plans, specifications, quality processes, test strategies, and release assessments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and present complex technical concepts effectively.
Proven ability to analyze product quality, risk, and business impact throughout project milestones and release cycles.
Self-motivated leader with a passion for building, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
Strong coaching, collaboration, and influencing skills with the ability to drive results in fast-paced, global engineering organizations.
