The Key Account Representative (KAR) manages and grows a portfolio of regional accounts that operate across multiple store locations. Serving as the primary point of contact for these customers, the role focuses on driving revenue growth, strengthening relationships, and ensuring consistent execution across all assigned stores. The KAR works closely with Territory Sales Representatives and Strategic Account Managers to align local execution with broader account strategies, delivering seamless and value-driven customer experience.Job Description:
Regional Account Management & Customer Experience Ownership
Own the end-to-end customer experience for assigned regional accounts across multiple locations
Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day account needs, issue resolution, and relationship development.
Ensure consistency, satisfaction, and alignment across all customer locations within the region.
Revenue Growth & Opportunity Development
Drive sales growth within assigned accounts through proactive opportunity identification, upselling, cross-selling, and expansion into additional locations or services.
Execute regional account plans, negotiate within approved parameters, and work to increase share of wallet while maintaining margin expectations.
Cross-Location Coordination & Execution
Coordinate execution across multiple stores by aligning with Territory Sales Representatives & Branch Managers on regional account strategies.
Ensure promotions, pricing, service standards, and contractual commitments are consistently implemented across all locations tied to the account.
Account Planning, Forecasting & Performance Management
Develop and maintain regional account plans, forecasts, and performance reporting. Monitor results, track pipeline activity, and provide insights to leadership and Strategic Account Managers related to trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
Internal Collaboration & Sales Enablement
Collaborate with Territory Sales, Strategic Account Managers, operations, and support teams to deliver seamless customer experience.
Share field intelligence, best practices, and customer feedback to strengthen overall sales execution.
Education & Experience:
Three to five years of sales, business development or account management experience
Experience managing complex or multi-location customer accounts preferred
Diploma or degree in business, finance, marketing or related field is an asset
Knowledge of the finning sales system is an asset
