MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Product Stewardship Project Manager manages the development and implementation of projects involving cross-functional and cross-business teams focused on global compliance with regulations and internal standards focused on substances of concern within our products and its packaging.

This position can be based out of Temecula, CA; Westford, MA; and Minneapolis, MN

This is an ONSITE position

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Leads project for integration of Product Stewardship processes and communication channels across the Vascular business to achieve strategic objectives of the business.

  • Represents Vascular organization in cross-business programs, including but not limited to PFAS PMO, PPWR PMO, Circularity PMO, EPR PMO, and others, and develops efficient, standardized processes and implements within the Vascular business.

  • Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort.

  • Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.

  • Directs project execution by assigning tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.

  • Assures project quality by using standard development methodologies and by working with SQA to develop and execute project quality plans.

  • Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and customer project status update meetings.

  • Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.

  • Consults with internal project groups by sharing project management knowledge and assisting or mentoring more junior project leaders in project management processes and techniques.

  • Participates in external project management organizations, conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practices in project management by joining professional associations and implementing a professional development plan with focus on project management.

  • Understands business environment and relates extensive knowledge of internal and external technological activities to trends.

  • Interfaces with senior management on significant matters, often requiring the coordination of activity across organizational units.

  • Participates in the development of other technical contributors by facilitating training and providing feedback and guidance.

  • May lead a project team. Plans and organizes project assignments of substantial variety and complexity.

  • Provides technical leadership to business units.

  • Acts as a mentor to less-experienced staff and may provide work direction or supervise other technical employees.

  • Exercises judgment independently.

  • Initiates or maintains schedule for projects and project milestones.

  • Establishes priorities of individual or project assignments. Selects methods and techniques to lead a project to completion.

  • Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) BA/BS. 
  • Certification in Project Management will be considered.  

Experience/Background

  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Medical Devices. 
  • Must have the ability to problem solve, manage projects, influence internal and external groups, and provide leadership from an operations and quality perspective.
  • Proven ability to successfully lead people and projects and to motivate and influence others are required. 
  • Productive supervisory experience is optimal.   
  • Over two years of experience in a technical, quality, or operations area and/or practical knowledge and skill sets in project management are required. 
  • Computer literacy in site software programs is optimal. 
  • Exhibit leadership and strong organizational and human relations skills.   
  • Demonstrate ability to interact and communicate with various levels of individuals and functional areas.   
  • Be a mentor/supervisor for other members of the department. 
  • Basic graphics design and printing industry knowledge are pluses.

The base pay for this position is

$99,300.00 – $198,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
