JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position Overview 

The Product Manager MCED partners closely with Product Development, Laboratory Operations, Manufacturing, Commercial, Clinical, Regulatory, and business stakeholders to define and implement solutions that support customer needs, business objectives, and long-term product success. 

This position is responsible for driving product lifecycle strategy, operational readiness, and product enhancement initiatives across the MCED portfolio. The role serves as the product lead for lifecycle management, operational product changes, collection solutions, laboratory process enhancements, and scalability initiatives, ensuring products remain competitive, supportable, and aligned with market needs. 

The Product Manager MCED works across cross-functional teams to define requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, align stakeholders, and guide implementation of complex product changes. Following product delivery, this position leads lifecycle management activities to maintain product-market fit, operational sustainability, and long-term market success. 

 

This position is based in our Madison, WI office location  

 

Essential Duties 

Include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Owns product strategy and delivery across multiple product areas or customer journeys, creating comprehensive product roadmaps that drive strategic objectives. 
  • Leads service design efforts across touchpoints, utilizing roadmaps to guide strategic decision making and product innovation aligned with user needs and business outcomes. 
  • Leads cross-functional teams in the development and execution of the business cases and roadmaps, engaging senior stakeholders to secure buy-in for goals, priorities, and execution plans. 
  • Establishes measurable objectives and monitors performance to guide iteration and success. 
  • Manages product scope and backlog across initiatives, balancing new development with on market product enhancements  
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to elevate team capabilities and collaboration. 
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. 
  • Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures. 
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance. 
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization. 
  • Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day. 
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field. 

  • 6+ years of experience leading product initiatives, such as managing multiple product areas, driving strategic initiatives, and influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

The base pay for this position is

$99,300.00 – $198,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
