UnspecifiedCollins Aerospace is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead our Procurement team.
This role is responsible for overseeing, planning, prioritizing, and directing procurement activities to support operational needs and Supply Chain goals. Success is achieved through effective leadership of direct and indirect teams, including hiring, talent management, team development, and performance improvement.
What You Will Do:
- Manage and implement procurement processes and standards, including Requests for Proposals (RFPs), negotiation strategies, cost accountability, and program execution.
- Lead vendor selection and management programs to minimize purchasing costs while maintaining quality and reliability of supply.
- Review price trends and manufacturing processes, providing strategic recommendations to improve procurement outcomes.
- Resolve supplier and client issues, ensuring alignment with procurement goals and service expectations.
- Monitor suppliers to schedule and expedite deliveries, resolving issues such as shortages, missing, or late deliveries.
- Authorize purchase orders, negotiate prices, and approve payments to support the procurement process across multiple regions.
- Review and assess RFPs (Request for Proposal) and bid packages to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
- Analyze and monitor contract performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and providing recommendations for necessary changes.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires a University Degree in Business Administration, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain processes, including vendor management, negotiations, RFP (Request for Proposal) management, and contract administration.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP procurement software or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems in a supply chain or procurement environment, including: Oracle, Epicor, People Soft, APEX or PRISM
- Advanced English Proficiency
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate fluently and professionally in written and spoken English.
- Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Developed and executed effective negotiation strategies while managing complex supplier relationships, backed by thorough knowledge of compliance regulations, government procurement procedures, and import/export rules.
- Identified and implemented improvements in procurement processes, cost reduction strategies, and supplier management practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in analyzing price trends, manufacturing processes, and contract performance to ensure compliance and drive process improvements while managing the entire procurement life cycle, from quote requests to final delivery.
- Experience leading cross-functional procurement and supply chain projects, collaborating with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve business objectives.
