Raytheon’s Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Business Unit is hiring a Manager, Contracts for its Precision Fires and Maneuver, DeepStrike/DeepFires™ portfolio.

This position offers the unique opportunity to be a key participant in the execution of strategic programs within the LADS business unit, providing leadership, management, and administration of a broad portfolio of contracts. The position will be well suited for a highly motivated, well-organized person who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.  

Responsibilities include working closely with the Contracts Lead, Program Directors, Senior Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Proposal Manager, Business/Estimating and Supply Chain to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies; advising management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks; examining and understanding cost structure estimates of labor, material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Conduct proposal reviews and coordination supporting on-time proposal submittals

  • Negotiate contracts (familiarization with Other Transaction Agreements -OTA’s preferred but not required.)

  • Review estimate at completion (EAC)

  • Support program management and execution reviews

  • Provide general contract administration support

  • Provide guidance to senior management regarding contractual and business issues

  • Ensure that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies

  • Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks

  • Professional representation of Raytheon on contractual transactions working closely with leaders at all levels and direct customer interaction to develop business relationships

  • Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, partner with Programs and cross functional team members to develop creative solutions and resolve contractual matters

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions  

  • Partner with Key Program Functions in the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contracts implementation, as well as general contract administration

  • Conduct timely and effective negotiations and resolution of customer issues to maximize key financial metrics

  •  Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders

  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/ obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes

  • Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5 years’ experience

  • Experience with one or more of the following: Finance, Supply Chain, Subcontracts, Procurement, Acquisitions, Contracts, and/or Global Trade

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
