Raytheon has an available position for an experienced Windows System Administrator who will work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi–disciplined environment. The System Administrator must possess a secret security clearance as they will be responsible for administering systems that contain classified data.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage Windows Enterprise environments including system management, performance monitoring, process automation, security hardening, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Maintain compliance standards, monitor security systems, and proactively respond to threats using enterprise security tools such as Ivanti, Splunk, Tenable, and SEP.

  • Apply Business Continuity principles, including working knowledge of enterprise backup hardware and software platforms, data backups and system recovery.

  • Collaborate with program management, application, security, vendor, and executive stakeholders to plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure solutions.

  • Conduct short-term and long-term capacity planning for technology modernization.

  • Plan and execute small to medium sized projects.

  • Create, update, and maintain IT documents and technical artifacts.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • ​Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience administering one or more of the following: Active Directory, Exchange, WSUS, Server Virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), Group Policy, or backup and Recovery.

  • ​Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Implementing and enforcing information security compliance standards and policies.

  • Experience managing large Storage environments (HPE MSA or NetApp).

  • Experience with Ivanti, Symantec, Splunk, Tenable and Nessus products.

  • Experience working with NISPOM, DFARS, JSIG, RMF, handling classified information, and working with compliance teams.

  • Experience managing core network and infrastructure like domain controllers, global catalogs, DNS, and DHCP.

  • Experience in patch management, vulnerability remediation, operating system upgrades, computer security, system monitoring and logging.

  • Managing environments with multi-server, multi-tenant, and large storage footprints.

  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.

  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, ESXi, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Microsoft Hypervisor.

  • Automation and task orchestration through scripting and off-the-shelf tools experience.

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
