Collins Aerospace is seeking a highly experienced Principal Procurement Specialist to lead strategic indirect procurement initiatives supporting non-product goods and services across our operations. As a Principal Procurement Specialist, you will drive procurement strategies, oversee complex sourcing activities, lead RFP processes, perform cost analyses, and manage supplier relationships to ensure the organization secures the most competitive and reliable solutions. You'll collaborate across Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Global Indirect Procurement teams to execute strategic initiatives, optimize MRO procurement activities, and deliver measurable business value.

In this individual contributor role, you will serve as a trusted procurement expert, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, leading supplier negotiations, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring procurement activities comply with RTX policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Your mission: to develop strategic sourcing solutions, strengthen supplier performance, improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of indirect goods and services that support business objectives.

This onsite position is based at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. Relocation is not offered.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and operational plans for non-product (indirect) goods and services.
  • Develop and manage complex RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and cost analyses to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Utilize SAP ERP to create and manage purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipts, and procurement transactions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage sourcing activities through Ariba/SRM procurement platforms, supporting supplier onboarding, sourcing events, contract execution, and procurement workflows.
  • Analyze purchasing trends, supplier performance, pricing, and spending patterns to support strategic procurement decisions.
  • Develop purchasing reports, dashboards, KPIs, and data-driven insights using Power BI and other reporting tools.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, alternative products, and emerging industry trends.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to forecast purchasing requirements and identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Support contract negotiations through financial analysis, benchmarking, and total cost comparisons.
  • Manage supplier relationships to improve performance, resolve procurement issues, and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Support the three-way matching process by executing goods receipts, resolving invoice discrepancies, and ensuring procurement compliance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience using SAP ERP for procurement, purchasing, and materials management activities.
  • Proficiency with Ariba and/or SAP Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) procurement platforms.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management requirements.
  • Experience leading cross-functional procurement initiatives and supplier performance improvement programs.
  • Advanced negotiation and strategic sourcing experience.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and manage complex procurement projects with minimal supervision.
  • Experience identifying cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities within indirect procurement.
