Location: This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office. This position will be based in Tampa - FL, Miami - FL.

Schedule: This position will work an 8-hour from shift 10:00 am - 6:30 pm (EST), Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be necessary based on company needs.
The Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for the interpretation and data entry of moderately complex prescriptions, prior authorization processing, and troubleshooting adjudication issues. Provides administrative support to Pharmacists.
How you will make an impact:
- Complete administrative and clerical tasks to support pharmacists and pharmacy operations, including verifying member/patient information, updating patient profiles, and entering accurate data.
- Educate members on pharmacy rules related to prescriptions, formulary/prescription benefits, and available medication resources or assistance programs.
- Process prior authorization requests from physicians’ offices, ensuring compliance with Medicare requirements, and communicate determinations to appropriate parties.
- Respond to inquiries from physicians, the sales team, and members regarding formulary and prescription benefit questions.
- Assist with grievance and appeals resolution activities related to pharmacy services.
- Contact healthcare providers as needed to obtain clarifications, support prescription transfers, or facilitate pharmacist review/intervention.
- Assist with documentation and reporting of adverse events to applicable contractual manufacturers, following established procedures.
- Generate and maintain reports and records related to prior authorizations, rebates, physician utilization, Beers Criteria, Reliance members, monthly reporting, and other ad hoc reporting needs.
- Perform other pharmacy technician duties as delegated and supervised by a licensed pharmacist, within the technician’s permitted scope of practice.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires H.S. diploma or equivalent and minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Requires an active, professional license, if required by state law, State Pharmacy Technician Certification or National Certification based on applicable state(s) requirements, to practice as a Pharmacy Technician within the scope of practice in a state or territory of the United States
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
PTCB Certification is strongly preferred.
Pharmacy claim adjudication experience is preferred.
Experience in a high volume, strong attention to detail position is highly preferred.
Ability to communicate information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, in a professional environment is preferred.
