Role Overview

HP Inc. is seeking a highly creative and execution-oriented Marketing Specialist – Education to lead integrated marketing programs for the U.S. K-12 and Higher Education markets.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role responsible for developing and executing strategic education marketing initiatives that build HP's brand, strengthen relationships with education institutions, generate demand, and accelerate pipeline. The ideal candidate understands the evolving needs of schools and universities and has experience delivering large-scale education programs, thought leadership, experiential marketing, and community engagement.

This role will own HP's flagship education marketing initiatives including higher education hackathons, K-12 advisory boards, major education conferences, executive engagement programs, and education-focused campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

1. Education Marketing Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Develop and execute HP's integrated marketing strategy across U.S. Higher Education and K-12.
  • Build annual marketing plans aligned to education priorities, buying cycles, and funding initiatives.
  • Identify emerging education trends including AI, digital learning, cybersecurity, STEM, workforce readiness, and research computing.
  • Manage annual education marketing calendar and budget.

2. Signature Education Programs

Lead HP's flagship education initiatives including:

  • Higher Education AI Hackathons
  • University innovation programs
  • Faculty and researcher engagement
  • Student competitions
  • K-12 Advisory Boards
  • Executive education councils
  • Customer advisory programs
  • Education partner collaborations

Own program planning from concept through execution, including recruitment, logistics, communications, sponsorships, and post-event engagement.

3. Education Events & Field Marketing

Lead HP's presence at major education conferences including:

  • EDUCAUSE
  • Bett
  • ISTELive
  • CoSN
  • NACUBO
  • Regional education conferences
  • HP-hosted education events

Responsibilities include:

  • Event strategy
  • Speaker recruitment
  • Customer sessions
  • Booth experience
  • Executive meetings
  • Product demonstrations
  • Event promotions
  • Follow-up campaigns

Track event engagement and pipeline contribution.

4. Thought Leadership & Content Development

Develop compelling education-focused content around topics such as:

  • AI in Education
  • Local AI & Edge AI
  • Student Success
  • Digital Equity
  • STEM Education
  • Research Computing
  • Cybersecurity
  • Hybrid Learning
  • Sustainability
  • Workforce Readiness

Partner with product marketing, customers, educators, and industry experts to develop:

  • Whitepapers
  • Executive briefs
  • Case studies
  • Customer stories
  • Videos
  • Blogs
  • Social campaigns
  • Education solution guides

Repurpose content across multiple marketing channels.

5. Demand Generation & Campaign Execution

Build and execute integrated campaigns supporting HP's education priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Campaign strategy
  • Messaging development
  • Target audience segmentation
  • Email marketing
  • Paid media
  • Webinars
  • Landing pages
  • Social media activation
  • Customer nurture programs

Optimize campaigns based on engagement, pipeline, and sales feedback.

6. Education Community Engagement

Develop programs that strengthen HP's relationships with education leaders.

Build engagement with:

  • CIOs
  • IT Directors
  • Provosts
  • Faculty
  • Researchers
  • K-12 Superintendents
  • Curriculum leaders
  • Technology coordinators

Support advisory boards, executive roundtables, peer networking events, and community-building initiatives.

7. Sales Alignment & Field Enablement

Partner closely with Education sales teams to support pipeline generation.

Provide sellers with:

  • Campaign summaries
  • Event toolkits
  • Account target lists
  • Customer messaging
  • Presentation materials
  • Social sharing content
  • Follow-up assets

Develop education-specific sales enablement resources that accelerate customer engagement.

8. Account-Based Marketing

Partner with sales to identify priority Higher Education institutions and K-12 districts.

Develop targeted marketing programs for strategic accounts through:

  • Personalized campaigns
  • Executive engagement
  • Custom events
  • Institution-specific content
  • Multi-touch nurture programs

Support opportunity acceleration for strategic education accounts.

9. Data, Reporting & Optimization

Measure and optimize the effectiveness of education marketing programs.

Track metrics including:

  • Marketing Generated Opportunities (MGOs)
  • Pipeline contribution
  • Event engagement
  • Campaign performance
  • Content engagement
  • Cost per opportunity
  • ROI

Develop dashboards and provide regular performance updates to marketing and sales leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • 5–8+ years of B2B or education marketing experience.
  • Experience marketing to Higher Education, K-12, Public Sector, or Government organizations preferred.
  • Proven experience managing complex marketing programs and large-scale events.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to measure marketing performance and optimize programs.

Preferred

  • Experience leading education conferences and customer engagement programs.
  • Familiarity with Higher Education and K-12 buying cycles.
  • Experience with account-based marketing (ABM).
  • Experience developing executive engagement and advisory board programs.
  • Knowledge of AI, digital learning, education technology, or research computing markets.

The pay range for this role is $83,000 to $127,800 USD annually with additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
