The individual will be responsible for managing a team responsible for creating digital and power designs to test Subsystems for airborne electronic systems applications.

Roles and responsibilities
- People leadership for an engineering design organization, to include performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning.
- Provide project and technical oversight for design activities performed by the group.
- Provide ownership of and direction to the design processes used in the group.
- Provide proposal inputs and review proposal content for both internal and external customers.
- Support department initiatives, recruiting, technology roadmap creation, cross-campus/sector involvement, and NCTA project leadership.
This role is contingent upon candidates having a current, active government Secret Clearance.
This role contingent upon Program Award.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience with Bachelors degree or minimum 3 years of related experience with a Master's
- Basic understanding of the Design, Manufacturing and Test process
- Basic understanding of a functional management role
- Demonstrated leadership including team building and navigation, technical and inter-personal problem resolution, and mentoring.
- Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree in Engineering, Business Management, Engineering Leadership, or equivalent
- Previous functional management experience
- Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead, or other demonstrated leadership role to a program office
- Experience in test automation design and test equipment
- Clear understanding of Earned Value and SPI/CPI in determining the critical path of a project, EAC and experience preparing workload forecasts.
