The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D):
The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.
The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.
What You Will Do
- Support the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
- Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunities
- Assess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategies
- Support annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planning
- Contribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence execution
- Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses
- Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level
- Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required
Qualifications We Prefer
- Aerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experience
- Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for results
- Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)
- Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of concepts
- Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
- Familiarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)
- Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade others

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
