Northrop Grumman Defense Systems’ Global Command and Control Systems (GC2S) Business Unit has an immediate opening for a Senior Manager of Business Development.

This position is a critical role within the Strategy and Market Development team, driving the Business Unit’s long-term growth in the domestic market and reports to Northrop Grumman offices in Huntsville, Alabama. The selected candidate will be responsible for the development, assessment, and cultivation of new and existing opportunities for GC2S’s next generation C2 and Fire Control systems.  The individual will work closely with a broader support team of subject matter experts from the GC2S organization, a nation-wide network of sales representatives and consultants, and Northrop Grumman sector and corporate business development resources to identify opportunities, devise win strategies, and influence program offices and customers. 

Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage business development activities with U.S. Government on Redstone Arsenal to generate leads, create / shape and prioritize new business opportunities to achieve the growth goals of the operating unit
  • Assist in creating, maintaining, and implementing a customer engagement strategy and senior customer visit plan for military, government, and industry leadership
  • Collaborate with adjacent Northrop Grumman offices on growth strategies and develop inputs for the broader sector and corporate strategy
  • Assist in managing the business unit’s pipeline and market data
  • Prioritize and develop (with team support) marketing content for the business unit
  • Act as primary site contact for Redstone Arsenal
  • Interface with the business unit and division team and assure alignment of priorities

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience related to Department of War (DoW) business, programs, or operational experience
  • Experience working with U.S. government located on Redstone Arsenal
  • Business development, strategy, capture, or program management experience
  • Knowledge of DoW acquisition, requirements, and budget policies and processes
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • Former U.S. Army Air Defender or Acquisition Corps professional
  • Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and/or Command and Control (C2) domain, program, or operational experience
  • 20 years of experience related to DoW programs
  • Knowledgeable in Customer Relationships Management (CRM) tools (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Active Top Secret clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $251,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
