The Opportunity:

  • CACI is seeking a Liaison Officer (LNO) to support the Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401) as the organization's senior representative to the National Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) Validation Test Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • The Liaison Officer will serve as the primary interface between JIATF 401, state and federal law enforcement agencies, Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, industry partners, and the National C-UAS Validation Test Center to coordinate testing, evaluation, validation, and transition of emerging Counter-UAS technologies.
  • This position requires expertise in systems testing, technology evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and operational coordination to bridge technical development with operational requirements.
  • The LNO will facilitate collaboration across government and industry while supporting technology demonstrations, operational assessments, and capability transition efforts that directly enhance the Nation's Counter-UAS enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary Joint Interagency Task Force 401 (JIATF 401) Liaison Officer to the National Counter-UAS Validation Test Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
  • Coordinate directly with state and federal law enforcement agencies, Department of Defense organizations, and interagency partners on Counter-UAS validation activities including test planning, execution, data collection, after-action reporting, and capability assessments.
  • Maintain close coordination with Department of Defense organizations, acquisition commands, research organizations, and interagency partners supporting Counter-UAS research, development, testing, evaluation, and acquisition.
  • Plan, synchronize, and coordinate multi-agency Counter-UAS testing events involving government organizations, commercial industry, operational units, and technical stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between JIATF 401 and industry partners developing emerging Counter-UAS technologies to facilitate system integration, test readiness, scheduling, and validation activities.
  • Observe developmental testing (DT), operational testing (OT), technology demonstrations, and validation events while documenting technical performance, operational effectiveness, interoperability, and mission suitability.
  • Analyze test data, operational observations, engineering documentation, and system performance metrics to assess technology maturity and operational relevance.
  • Develop technical reports, executive summaries, capability assessments, white papers, and recommendations supporting senior military and civilian leadership.
  • Translate complex technical findings into actionable recommendations supporting acquisition decisions, capability development, and operational employment.
  • Represent JIATF 401 during Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, technical interchange meetings, capability demonstrations, stakeholder engagements, and senior-level coordination events.
  • Coordinate stakeholder participation, schedules, logistics, resources, and execution timelines supporting validation and testing activities.
  • Foster collaboration among state and federal law enforcement agencies, Department of Defense organizations, acquisition organizations, testing organizations, research institutions, academia, and commercial industry partners throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Support technology transition efforts by ensuring validated capabilities, lessons learned, and operational findings are communicated to acquisition organizations and operational users.
  • Maintain situational awareness of emerging Counter-UAS technologies, evolving threat capabilities, and ongoing research initiatives across government and industry.
  • Identify opportunities to improve testing methodologies, coordination processes, stakeholder integration, and organizational effectiveness supporting JIATF 401 objectives.
  • Ensure testing activities and technical assessments comply with applicable security, information assurance, and data governance requirements.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
  • BA/BS with 4+ years; AA/AS with 8+ years; or HS/GED with 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting technology development, systems engineering, research and development (R&D), defense acquisition, or capability development programs.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, executing, or supporting developmental testing (DT), operational testing (OT), technology demonstrations, validation events, or capability assessments.
  • Strong understanding of Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) technologies, architectures, operational concepts, and testing methodologies.
  • Experience evaluating technical system performance and translating engineering findings into operational recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information and testing results to senior military leaders, government executives, and technical stakeholders.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple state and federal government agencies, Department of Defense organizations, acquisition organizations, and commercial industry partners.
  • Strong organizational, facilitation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Experience preparing executive briefings, technical reports, white papers, and capability assessments.
  • Proven ability to independently represent an organization in high-visibility environments involving senior government officials and industry executives.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing rapidly changing operational priorities.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Huntsville area and periodically support testing events at government test ranges and partner locations.

Desired:

  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, Department of Homeland Security, state or federal law enforcement agencies, or Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) organizations.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense acquisition organizations, science and technology organizations, or Air and Missile Defense capability development efforts.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense acquisition processes, Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), systems engineering, capability development, and technology transition frameworks.
  • Familiarity with developmental testing (DT), operational testing (OT), operational assessments, and capability validation processes.
  • Experience collaborating with commercial industry partners developing advanced Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) technologies.
  • Military operational experience in Air Defense Artillery, Electronic Warfare, Intelligence, Acquisition, Test & Evaluation, Counter-UAS operations, or related operational fields.
  • Existing professional relationships within the defense acquisition, research, testing, or operational community.
  • Knowledge of emerging Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) technologies including radar systems, RF detection, electronic warfare, electro-optical/infrared sensors, command and control architectures, kinetic and non-kinetic defeat systems, and integrated air defense capabilities.
  • Experience supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), technical interchange meetings, capability demonstrations, and multi-agency stakeholder engagements.
  • Familiarity with systems integration, interoperability assessments, and operational capability validation.

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$86,100 - $181,000
