Amentum is seeking an Industrial Security Manager/Facility Security Officer (FSO) to support the Space Force Range contract (SFRC).

Job Summary 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Industrial Security Manager / Facility Security Officer (FSO) to oversee and administer our day-to-day industrial security program on the Western Range. The Industrial Security manager will be the principal advisor on all matters relating to the protection of classified information, ensuring strict adherence to the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and other relevant government directives. This role is critical in safeguarding both personnel, property, information, and company assets against potential threats.

 Essential Functions: 

  • Manage the daily operations of the Range’s security program, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, company policies and local Security agreements.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of direct reports, including security specialists, assistants, or administrative staff, to ensure cohesive and effective security operations.

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce the company's Standard Practice Procedures (SPP) and ensure security is coordinated with other functional managers.

  • Administer comprehensive security training and briefings for all cleared personnel. Ensure employees are educated on reporting protocols and threat awareness.

  • Oversee physical security measures including access control, visitor management, and emergency response protocols to protect the facility, assets, and personnel.

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal partners (such as HR, IT, and business program managers) as well as external customers and government agency representatives. Deliver exceptional, solution-oriented customer service by providing timely, clear, and constructive security guidance to facilitate business operations while maintaining strict compliance.

  • Assist or act as the Insider Threat Program Senior Official (ITPSO), monitoring for and mitigating potential insider threats. 

 

Required Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience in security related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive industrial security experience, with direct experience serving as an FSO, Alternate FSO (AFSO), CPSO or in a closely related industrial security management role.

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with a proven track record of supervising, mentoring, and developing a team of security professionals.

  • Thorough understanding of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and the National Industrial Security Program (NISP).

  • Complete understanding of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) is required.

  • Current CDSE FSO certification or able to obtain within 6 months after hire.

  • Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Government Security Clearance (Top Secret).

  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or command experience within military security forces (e.g., Military Police, Security Forces, Master-at-Arms), government security agencies, or corporate security departments.

  • Industrial Security Professional (ISP®) or Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). ASIS certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Physical Security Professional (PSP).

  • Advanced proficiency operating government databases and portals, including the Defense Information System for Security (DISS), National Industrial Security System (NISS), e-QIP/eApp, SWFT, and STEPP.

  •  Direct experience managing Communications Security (COMSEC) accounts as a primary or alternate COMSEC Custodian. Experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs. Experience with physical SCIF or SAPF construction, accreditation, and management in compliance with ICD 705 standards. A background with Antiterrorism and OPSEC.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual starting salary for this position is between $120,000 – $135,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

$120,000-$135,000 annually
