The Radar Analog and Power Department is seeking a Principal Engineer as the GhostEye Power and Cooling Unit (PCU) Product Lead. GhostEye is a multi-mission medium range sensor providing 360 deg surveillance in the LTAMDS Raytheon franchise. In this role, you will be responsible for driving programmatic and technical execution across all sub-products so that, when integrated, the PCU meets all hardware requirements. You will need to maintain effective relationships with internal technical stakeholders, including the IPT Leads, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality, Lifecycle Engineering, Chief Engineers, cross functional engineers as well as the hardware team.
This onsite role will be based in Andover, MA.
What You Will Do
- Oversee the technical development for the overall PCU product. This includes the integration of the sub-products into a complete PCU.
- Support the program startup, baselining efforts, and staffing ramp needed to execute the work scope.
- Execute the design, development, production, and delivery of the PCU across multiple cross function teams.
- You will govern contract scope while assessing the technical break-in of new design capabilities and producibility improvements.
- Provide technical conscience, challenged with making sure the product and process meet appropriate standards and requirements.
- Ensure balance with risk conditions and constraints while advising leadership.
- Support GhostEye IPT Lead with EVMS, Program planning, budgeting, and Risk & Opportunity Management pertaining to the radar hardware.
- Management of Engineering production support while simultaneously balancing resulting performance with the ability to meet the customers’ critical schedule requirements across GhostEye contracts.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal technical and programmatic stakeholders, including the IPT Leads, Operations & Supply Chain, Quality, Lifecycle Engineering, Chief Engineers, and Engineering Finance.
- Demonstrate interpersonal and leadership skills are to help drive the team to meet program milestones and ensure alignment with the roadmap.
- Be Visible and accountable for technical decisions of a growing team of hardware engineers.
- Travel may be required to support the role and integration activities.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
- Minimum of 8 years of design and/or production experience with power systems, power conversion, power distribution, power sub-system design and/or control systems
- Experience serving as a product lead or technical lead with responsibility for coordinating cross-functional teams and driving a complex hardware product through design, development, integration, production, and/or delivery.
- Experience with power distribution, assemblies and/or cooling designs, hardware packaging, and/or multi-functional assemblies and/or integration for military or commercial applications into production.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Direct experience with military radar, program and products, ideally in the LTAMDS franchise.
- Proven technical leadership skills with the ability to develop work plans and drive success.
- Experience collaborating across functions, including Engineering, Operations, Global Supply Chain, and Quality, during hardware development, production, and system testing.
- Background in executing DoD sustainment or product support activities, including proposal development.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with senior leadership, customers, teammates, and suppliers.
- Knowledge of project management principles.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
