The Enterprise Security Information System (ESIS) Team Lead is responsible for day‑to‑day leadership and oversight of Northrop Grumman’s Enterprise Security Information System (ESIS) and its integration with the Security Information Management System (SIMS). This role partners with a small team of ESIS/SIMS support personnel, partners with Industrial Security, Cybersecurity, and IT stakeholders, and ensures that security information and records are accurately maintained in alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements (e.g., 32 CFR Part 117, DCSA guidance, customer directives).

This position preferred to be located in Irving, TX but open to fully remote schedule. Teleworking arrangements are subject to change based on the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ESIS support team responsible for ESIS/SIMS user support, configuration, and data quality.

  • Serve as a point of contact for sector and enterprise security stakeholders on ESIS/SIMS capabilities, issues, and enhancements.

  • Oversee processing and tracking of security data (e.g., personnel security, visit records, program access, incident records) within ESIS/SIMS.

  • Coordinate with Industrial Security and Cybersecurity to ensure ESIS processes and configurations support current regulatory and customer requirements.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and user guidance for ESIS/SIMS usage.

  • Monitor data integrity and compliance; identify and drive corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and systemic issues.

  • Plan and prioritize work for the ESIS team, including ticket triage, configuration changes, and improvement initiatives.

  • Support testing, validation, and implementation of ESIS/SIMS upgrades, patches, and new functionality.

  • Provide metrics and reporting on ESIS usage, performance, backlog, and issue trends to leadership.

  • Support and/or deliver ESIS user training and onboarding activities.

  • Partner with IT, HR, and Security Shared Services as needed to resolve complex issues and implement cross‑functional changes.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma and 9 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience in Industrial Security, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.

  • Experience supporting or using enterprise security information systems (e.g., ESIS, SIMS, JPAS/DISS, NBIS, or equivalent).

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams, projects, or workstreams (formal or informal leadership).

  • Strong understanding of industrial security fundamentals and related regulations (e.g., 32 CFR Part 117/NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and applicable customer directives).

  • Proven ability to interpret requirements, translate them into system/process changes, and drive implementation.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with security professionals, IT, and business leadership.

  • Candidates must have a current U.S. Government Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current U.S. Government Top Secret / TS/SCI clearance.

  • Direct experience with ESIS and SIMS as an administrator, power user, or support lead.

  • Prior experience leading a small technical or operational team in a security or IT environment.

  • Experience developing and delivering training for security systems or tools.

  • Familiarity with NG enterprise security organizations, processes, and toolsets (e.g., MySecurity, Security Shared Services, sector security teams).

  • Experience with data quality initiatives, metrics development, and dashboard/report creation.

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a continuous‑improvement mindset

  • Ability to interpret the structure and logic of common programming and query languages at a conceptual level.

  • Comfortable reading code snippets or scripts to follow technical discussions.

  • Can engage effectively with software developers, database administrators, and other technical staff to clarify requirements, issues, or potential impacts.

  • Capable of translating technical explanations into actionable information for non-technical stakeholders and management.

  • No hands-on programming required; ability to bridge communication between technical and non-technical teams is desired.

Primary Level Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $128,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
