Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking an Engineer Planning Analyst – Level 2 to join our team in Clearfield, UT.     

As an Engineer Planning Analyst for Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems, you will be responsible for ordering and receiving/shipping material, scheduling special tooling and equipment through our internal fabrication shops, and writing purchase requisitions for suppliers to fabricate special tooling and equipment. Work with the supply chain organization to bid, procure, and manage tooling acquisition tasks. Support the technical tooling team with Tool Discrepancy Reports, the Tool Resource Tracking database, and managing new tool requests through Tooling Change Notices.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:

  • Initiates the procurement of new and major modifications of tooling by providing a cost estimate and purchase requisition.
  • Estimates hours and administers time and material contracts.
  • Control modification, fabrication, and repairs on tooling through in-house processes.
  • Maintain history packets for auditing and tool proposal information
  • Administrate and reconcile the Spot Buy and Credit Card system to ensure timely delivery of material required for in-house fab, modification, and repair of tooling.
  • Input, coordinate, and maintain all tooling work orders.
  • Coordinate and maintain status on tooling requiring decontamination.
  • Prepare shop planning derived from blueprints, TDR dispositions, and direction from manufacturing/quality engineering.
  • Coordinate planning problems with shop and maintenance personnel, manufacturing, and quality engineering as required.
  • Receive and verify all special-ordered steel and materials from vendors.
  • Coordinate bill of material supplies and issue kitted materials.
  • Work daily with Property Management, VSETS, Program Managers, and Customers to support their needs.
  • Support Continuous Improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience.
  • 4 additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Experience working with or in fabrication and machine shops.
  • Technical attention to detail on past projects and assignments.
  • Be able to read blueprints,

Preferred Qualifications:            

  • Machinist/Fabricator background 
  • Software : Maximino, Siemens Teamcenter, MS Access, SQL or other data base programs
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Pivots and Word) experience
  • Experience with SAP/ERP or other related system

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
