Internship Program Overview:  

Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. 

Summary of Role: 

We are looking for a motivated engineering student to join our 55nm Resistive Random Access Memory (RRAM) development team. This internship provides hands-on experience in advanced semiconductor memory technology, focusing on RRAM device characterization, modeling, and data analysis. 

The intern will work closely with device engineers to evaluate RRAM bitcell performance, perform electrical measurements, and support SPICE model development for next-generation embedded non-volatile memory applications. 

Essential Responsibilities include: 

  • Characterize RRAM bitcells using wafer-level and bench measurements. 

  • Perform RRAM SPICE simulations and model validation. 

  • Analyze electrical data, including switching performance, endurance, and retention. 

  • Correlate silicon measurement results with simulation data. 

    Support device debugging, data analysis, and technical reporting. 

Other Responsibilities: 

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs. 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Education  Actively pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Physics, or related fields. 

  • Must be in good academic standing. 

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.  

  • Available for a 16–24 week credit-bearing internship commencing January 2027. 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor devices and circuits. 

  • Familiarity with SPICE simulation tools and data analysis. 

  • Programming skills (Python or similar) are advantageous. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
