The Content Marketing Manager reports to the Director, Content Marketing and is responsible for executing audience-focused content marketing strategies that drive engagement, consideration, demand, conversion, and retention across Robert Half’s priority hiring manager and job candidate audiences. This is a strategic and hands-on role that combines content marketing planning, writing, editing, SEO/AEO optimization, and performance analysis to support integrated marketing programs and audience growth objectives.
Working closely with Integrated Marketing, Brand Marketing, Performance Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Analytics, and Web partners, this role translates established content marketing strategies, business priorities, audience insights, and campaign strategies into high-performing marketing content. The Content Marketing Manager focuses on content marketing assets that help audiences discover, understand, engage with, and take action on Robert Half’s services, while partnering with Communications on the marketing activation of thought leadership and editorial assets where appropriate.
What You'll Do
Content Marketing Planning, Audience Alignment & Campaign Support
Execute audience-focused content marketing plans and initiatives in partnership with Integrated Marketing Managers and senior content marketing leaders.
Contribute to content marketing roadmaps aligned to audience priorities, integrated marketing plans, campaign objectives, and business goals.
Partner with Integrated Marketing Managers and SEO partners to identify content marketing needs across the buying journey, including awareness, consideration, conversion, and retention.
Translate established content marketing strategies into content marketing briefs, assets, campaigns, and optimization plans.
Identify opportunities to improve audience engagement, conversion, search visibility, and content marketing reuse across channels.
Partner with Communications to adapt and activate thought leadership for marketing use cases without duplicating ownership of thought leadership, editorial strategy, executive visibility, or reputation-building content.
What success looks like: Content marketing plans are clearly tied to audience needs, marketing priorities, and measurable business outcomes.
Hands-On Content Marketing Development, Writing & Editing
Write, edit, and optimize content marketing assets across formats including service pages, landing pages, email campaigns, nurture programs, paid media, SEO content, AEO content, FAQ content, campaign assets, and resource center content.
Translate complex business topics into clear, audience-centered content marketing assets that support engagement, demand generation, and conversion.
Apply Robert Half brand voice, messaging frameworks, audience insights, and content marketing standards consistently across deliverables.
Edit content marketing assets for clarity, accuracy, brand alignment, search performance, answer quality, and conversion potential.
Use AI-assisted content marketing workflows responsibly to improve speed and quality while maintaining accuracy, originality, and compliance.
What success looks like: Content marketing assets are clear, useful, brand-aligned, optimized for search and AI discovery, and effective at moving audiences to the next step.
SEO/AEO Optimization, Performance & Continuous Improvement
Apply SEO and AEO best practices to improve content marketing discoverability across search engines and AI-powered discovery experiences.
Partner with SEO, Digital Marketing, Web, and Analytics teams to evaluate content marketing performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Support content marketing testing and optimization, including headlines, calls to action, page structure, FAQs, schema-ready copy, and conversion messaging.
Conduct content marketing audits and refresh existing content marketing assets to improve organic visibility, AI answer readiness, engagement, and conversion performance.
Track content marketing KPIs and recommend improvements based on performance data and audience behavior.
What success looks like: Content marketing performance improves through optimization, testing, refreshes, and data-driven decision making.
What You'll Need
BA in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field.
5-8 years of experience in content marketing, digital marketing content, marketing communications, copywriting, or related roles.
Demonstrated experience executing content marketing strategies and producing marketing content that supports engagement, demand generation, conversion, and business growth.
Strong hands-on writing and editing experience across digital channels, including web, email, landing pages, SEO content, AEO content, and campaign assets.
Deep understanding of SEO content marketing strategy, search intent, content optimization, and AI-driven discovery principles.
Experience using performance insights to optimize content marketing assets and improve engagement, conversion, and discoverability.
Preferred
Experience in B2B, B2C, professional services, staffing, consulting, technology, or complex business environments.
Experience with AI-assisted content marketing creation tools and workflows.
Experience partnering with SEO, web, analytics, paid media, email, and integrated marketing teams.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
$77,000.00 - $114,000.00We offer exceptional earning potential and a competitive benefits package, including group health insurance benefits (medical, vision, dental), FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave of up to 6 weeks, and short/long term disability. Robert Half provides paid time off for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of Choice Time Off (CTO) our people receive varies based on their years of service and is pro-rated based on the hours worked per week. A new hire earns up to 17 days of CTO per calendar year. Our people also receive up to 11 paid holidays per calendar year.
