Role Overview

North America commercial channel business development for HP’s print portfolio, focused on driving revenue growth, partner performance, and strategic execution across large resellers

Role sits at the intersection of:

  • Channel sales strategy

  • Pricing and incentive programs

  • Partner engagement and execution

  • Pipeline, deals, and inventory management

This is a highly cross-functional, partner-facing leadership role responsible for translating HP strategy into executable programs that drive measurable business outcomes.

Core Responsibilities

1. Channel Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and execute channel growth strategies across print hardware, supplies, and services

  • Drive sell-through performance and overall revenue attainment vs forecast

  • Monitor business health and adjust strategy based on market conditions, pricing, and partner performance

  • Lead or contribute to weekly business reviews with Partner accounts (CDW, Insight, Connection)

  • Conduct sales trainings with both partners and end users in regular cadences on print topics including NPIs, availability, programs, etc.

2. Partner Management (CDW, Insight, Connection)

  • Own day-to-day relationship with key strategic partners

  • Align HP and partner sales teams on priorities, campaigns, and execution

  • Influence partner behavior through pricing, incentives, and inventory strategy

  • Act as the escalation point for partner issues across supply chain, pricing, and sales engagement

3. Pricing, Programs & Incentives

  • Design and execute pricing strategies (rebates, smart buys, BDA programs, spiffs)

  • Optimize program structures to improve sell-through and competitiveness

  • Analyze pricing gaps vs competitors and adjust accordingly

4. Pipeline, Deal & Inventory Management

  • Manage large deals, pipeline tracking, and conversion (IQ, BDA, sales leads)

  • Oversee inventory positioning with partners (buy-ins, stock balancing, quarter-end strategy)

  • Drive alignment between sales-out vs sell-through vs inventory levels

  • Manage pricing escalations from field sales and assist with product selection / partner interaction

5. Sales Enablement & Field Engagement

  • Enable partner sellers with content, positioning, and incentives

  • Drive account mapping, training, and campaign execution

  • Support targeted campaigns and lead generation programs

6. Marketing & Demand Generation Alignment

  • Partner with marketing teams to drive campaigns, MDF utilization, and demand generation

  • Ensure alignment of messaging, vertical strategy, and campaign performance tracking

  • Measure ROI and influence of marketing on revenue

7. Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Coordinate across sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and category teams

  • Translate leadership directives into executable partner plans

  • Represent print business in broader HP strategic initiatives

  • Partner-specific growth plans (e.g., CDW strategy)

  • Deal pipeline and forecast reporting

Education and Experience Required:

  • University or bachelor’s degree in marketing or finance.

  • Typically 5-8 years of professional experience with a combination of Marketing, Sales, Business Planning experience preferred.

  • Consumer and/or Commercial Partner management expertise or End User Acct management as an alternative.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Able to find creative solutions as issues arise. Embraces challenging situations and enjoys overcoming adversity.

  • Knowledge of HP Print portfolio or capacity to learn and utilize product resources to meet job requirements.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills. Use MS excel to model and support business decision making and reporting.

  • Ability to understand, articulate and answer technical print questions is a plus.

  • Storytelling, make the customer the hero in a concise narrative supporting why HP print.

  • Strong communication skills including negotiation, presentation and influence at senior management level.

  • Knowledge of promotional marketing processes and practices.

  • Ability to frame the product value proposition and present it to sales, customers or partners.

  • Must be a team player and juggle multiple tasks and competing priorities.

The on-target earnings (OTE) range for this role is $133,950 to $210,300 USD
annually with a 80%/20% (salary/incentive) mix. There are additional
opportunities for pay in the form of bonuses and/or equity (applies to United
States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related
knowledge, skills, and experience.
