The position is primarily based in Cairo - Egypt, with a hybrid working model that combines on-site presence with remote flexibility, depending on business needs. Regular interaction with regional and global stakeholders is expected, providing valuable exposure across markets and functions. Occasional travel may be required to support key meetings, events, or initiatives, offering further opportunities for professional growth and cross-cultural collaboration. This set-up ensures a balanced, yet engaging work experience aligned with business priorities.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Plan and deliver internal and external meetings, symposiums, and conferences in full compliance with Medtronic policies and regulations, aligning stakeholders on objectives, target audience, and desired outcomes
- Manage end-to-end budget and financial processes, including planning, tracking, reconciliation, cost optimization, and vendor payments to ensure full transparency and control
- Source, negotiate, and coordinate venues, hotels, and third-party services while managing all event logistics such as venue setup, travel arrangements, and visa requirements
- Oversee AV, production, and technical services, including digital solutions such as mobile event applications, audience response tools, and virtual or augmented engagement platforms to enhance participant experience
- Design and manage attendee experience through registration platforms, communications, and on-site support, ensuring smooth coordination of participation, travel, and accommodation needs
- Utilize Medtronic-approved tools to manage event registration, communications, reporting, and on-site operations to ensure efficient execution and accurate data management
- Generate and analyze event reports and performance metrics, providing insights on outcomes, value delivery, and opportunities for continuous improvement
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in event or meeting planning
- Ability to manage assigned tasks and small-scale projects with close supervision, ensuring timely and compliant delivery
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve straightforward issues related to event planning and execution
- Effective communication skills to work with internal/external teams, gather information, and ensure alignment on deliverables
- Basic understanding of event management processes, tools, and systems
- Willingness to learn, develop skills, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and ways of working
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
- Proficiency in French is considered an advantage
