Application Analyst & Tester
The Opportunity:
CACI is currently looking for a motivated and skilled Application Analyst & Tester to perform verification and validation of multiple integrated software applications. You will join our SHIV integration test team located in Sterling, VA and the Denver Tech Center, CO. Your primary focus will be systems analysis and design of automated end-to-end (E2E) testing strategies that utilize real-world user stories. Join this passionate team of systems engineers and software developers as we help our customer transition from heavily manual testing practices to automated integration tests.
As a member of the SHIV team, you will design automated verification strategies and integration tests aimed at reducing risk and complexity within a diverse software application ecosystem. You will learn and analyze several third-party software applications that deploy new features on an agile basis. Finally, you will work closely with the SHIV team’s software developers to perform troubleshooting when implemented tests find software bugs and defects.
Responsibilities:
Partner with external stakeholders to learn and understand their applications, interconnections, operations, functional requirements, and dependencies
Act as subject matter expert for planning and tasking requirements, detailed collection strategies, dynamic mission demands, and operational objectives
Develop E2E autonomous systems testing strategies using real-world user scenarios and realistic, dynamic test data in an agile-based test environment
Design scripts for automated tests that exercise UI-based and API-based functionality and satisfy the test’s acceptance criteria
Maintain and enhance existing tests to exercise newly deployed and/or updated software features developed by third-party agile programs
Qualifications:
Required:
Active TS/SCI with polygraph (or willingness to obtain a polygraph)
BA/BS in STEM field or related experience
3+ years of systems engineering experience with planning and scheduling software
Experience with mission planning software, along with associated collection strategies, tasks, and activities used to support data collection and exploitation
A user-centric mindset when developing testing of processes across multiple software applications
Ability to act as a bridge between software developers and project stakeholders.
Ability to communicate effectively and collaboratively in a team environment
Desired:
Experience supporting agile software development with systems integration and verification skills
Experience with crafting acceptance criteria for functional requirements
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Familiarity with test automation frameworks, SQL for data verification, and API testing tools.
Coding experience can be helpful but is not required

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.
The proposed salary range for this position is:
