Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the HP Service Supply Chain (SSC). In this highly visible and dynamic role, the analyst will serve as the WW Cost of Workforce lead and Strategic Workforce Planner. This individual will collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders across Customer Support (CS), Enterprise Operations, and all regions. The position involves partnering closely with SSC and CS teams on initiatives to analyze and optimize spend. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, work independently and collaboratively, and engage confidently with employees at all organizational levels. This role offers a unique opportunity to accelerate career growth through leadership of cross‑functional initiatives, application of an entrepreneurial mindset, and expansion of professional networks across HP’s CS and SC organizations. Additionally, the analyst will act as a program manager for cost‑reduction and cost‑management projects.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Corporate FP&A, Functions Finance, and SSC leadership to ensure accurate, timely, and consistent reporting of Service Supply Chain (SSC) Spend and financial performance.
  • Lead complex spend management and cost-efficiency initiatives across multiple SSC organizations, functions, and geographic regions.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across Business, HR, and Finance to develop workforce strategies, optimize labor skills and location mix, and align workforce plans with budget and business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain workforce planning governance, including process controls, reporting visibility, and risk mitigation mechanisms to support effective plan execution.
  • Analyze workforce, spending, and operational data to identify trends, uncover anomalies, determine root causes, and provide actionable business insights.
  • Anticipate cost pressures and emerging risks, proactively recommending opportunities to improve efficiency, optimize resources, and achieve financial objectives.
  • Monitor and report projected and realized savings on a monthly and quarterly basis, providing clear updates and insights to executive leadership.
  • Investigate variances and performance deviations, ensuring data accuracy and driving corrective actions when needed.
  • Perform analysis of internal and external workforce data to support strategic decision-making, workforce planning, and business transformation initiatives.
  • Support both long-term workforce planning and ad hoc business requests by delivering data-driven recommendations and insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and simplification of workforce planning processes, reporting, and analytics, leveraging AI-enabled solutions where appropriate.



Education & Experience Recommended
• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in strategy, planning, operations, market research, or a related field.

Preferred Certifications
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HP workforce cost management processes, financial planning, and budgeting practices.

  • Advanced analytical and financial acumen, with expertise in trend analysis, variance management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships.

  • Proven business acumen and strategic thinking, with the ability to assess complex situations and translate insights into actionable recommendations.

  • Strong project and program management capabilities, including experience leading cost optimization and efficiency initiatives.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to solve complex business problems in a fast-paced environment.

  • Agile and innovative mindset with a continuous improvement focus and a track record of driving positive change.

  • Strong prioritization and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing business priorities effectively.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $130,700 to $205,200 USD annually with additional

opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United

States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related

knowledge, skills, and experience.
