Collins Aerospace is looking for a Warehouse Specialist – 1st Shift for the Aftermarket team. In this position you will be responsible for receiving parts and preparing inventory for shipment to the client. This position requires you to be always organized and safety conscious.
*This position is based on-site at our Chula Vista, CA facility and will be part of the IAM Local 755.
1st Shift hours are: 6:30am – 3pm, Monday to Friday.
What You Will Do
Pull parts that have been stored in a warehouse stored as inventory.
Cycle counting of inventory.
Opening of supplier product to be stored in a warehouse.
Box and prep customer orders for shipment.
Process, store, and send inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules.
Load and unload orders from various carriers and freight forwarders.
Organize incoming deliveries.
Apply the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.
Operate licensed lift trucks of any capacity.
Maintain good shop practices including safety and housekeeping.
This position stands for long periods of time.
You will be carrying loads of up to 30 pounds.
Qualifications You Must Have
AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma, GED and 6 years of relevant experience is required.
U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Prior experience working in a warehouse.
Experience with safety practices and procedures.
Experience working with computers.
Qualifications We Prefer
Able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Experience with forklift and operating a radio crane.
Able to work independently.
The ability to use SAP.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role.
