The Opportunity:


CACI is seeking a W3 Software Developer, Systems Software in support of a program whose initiative is aimed at combating evolving and emerging threats, supporting related exploitation and replication activities, and advancing operational rehearsal, exercise, wargaming, and counter system development. Additionally, we are focusing on integration and experimentation, including Modeling and Simulation. You will work alongside a talented team of engineers, analysts, and technical experts supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center and various Combatant Commands

Your work will help ensure Warfighter readiness and the realization of future capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test computer and network software or specialized utility programs in support of M&S, LVC environments, and systems engineering efforts 
  • Analyze user needs and develop software solutions applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis 
  • Update and enhance existing software capabilities to meet evolving mission requirements  Collaborate with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements 
  • Support database development within application areas, working individually or as part of a coordinated team 
  • Provide technical expertise for hardware and software systems engineering, configuration management, and verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) of solutions 
  • Support real-time voice and data communications between offsite, deployed, and temporary duty personnel and facilities 
  • Participate in engineering-related technical reviews, exercise support, field tests, and preoperational reviews 
  • Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including NIST SP 800-171 and DoDM 8140.03 standards 


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • AA or 2 year technical school with 5 years of relevant experience
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Active TS/SCI clearance
  • Proficiency in software development languages (e.g., C++, Java, Python, C#)     

  • Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies

  • Knowledge of database management and development

  • Understanding of hardware-software integration principle

Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with LVC simulation environments and architectures
  • Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), JTLS-GO, or similar M&S platforms
  • Knowledge of DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF)
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications (Security+, CISSP, or equivalent)
  • Previous experience supporting DEVCOM, C5ISR, or INDOPACOM missions

Pay Range:

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$55,800 - $111,500
