UK Logistics and Support Administrator (LASA)
Amentum is seeking a UK Logistics and Support Administrator to support the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission in Andros Island, Bahamas. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments. The UK Logistics and Support Administrator is responsible for logistical and administrative support on behalf of the UK office situated at AUTEC on Andros and is accountable to the Test Planning Manager. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities:
• Manage UK Planning and Maintenance program including full coordination and operational supervision to the UK AUTEC Trials Coordinating Officer (AUTCO), his Deputy (DAUTCO), the NUWC Test Program Manager and the Contractor Program Engineer.
• Accountable for cost control management and technical instruction tasking guidance related to UK Planning and Maintenance. This responsibility comprises monitoring costs and expenditures of all departments engaged in supporting activities and coordinating status of funding with NUWC Subject Matter Experts and Contractor Finance.
• Ensure UK facilities and assets are maintained in ready working order. Coordinate materials, supplies, and Work Requests as required.
• Demonstrate professional respect for UK office and military protocol.
• Coordinate official visitor travel requirements with AUTEC, UK, and Range User Travel Coordinators. Interface with AUTEC OIC, US Navy Administration office, Pass & ID, and Housing as required.
• Oversee office space, phones, transportation, and Range Users’ Compound requirements ISO range users as requested by the UK AUTCO/DAUTCO and/or the NUWC Test Program Manager.
• Prepare AUTEC rendezvous manifests as directed by UK AUTCO/DAUTCO and/or the NUWC Test Program Manager and in keeping with AUTEC policy.
• Work extended hours in support of test programs IAW WorkRooster and as requested by the UK AUTCO/DAUTCO and/or the NUWC Test Program Manager or Duty Program Engineer.
• Maintain clean, workable, and supplied office environment ISO rotational trial teams.
• Retain responsibility for UK fleet of vehicles and adhere to usage protocol IAW UK standard procedure. Ensure regularly scheduled preventive maintenance schedules are kept ICW the Transportation Department and reported to the UK AUTCO/DAUTCO.
• Attend planning meetings as required to locations which may include CONCUS and/or the UK.
• Provide back-up support to the RUCORD and to the APE as required.
• Accept delegation of department support activities and other such tasks as may be assigned by the Test Planning Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
• AS/AA degree in related field preferred or
• A minimum of 10 years of specialized professional experience supporting foreign governments, multinational organizations, or NATO, in lieu of a degree
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relations/interface skills.
• Strong organizational skills for prioritizing and coordinating workload and able to meet contractually mandated deadlines.
• Solid reading and comprehension abilities in order to ensure proper procedures are adhered to and ability to reference instruction manuals and follow directions as required.
• Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and work within a team environment as required.
• Must be flexible, professional, and decisive in coping with changes in a real-time environment.
• Computer literacy in a Windows environment. Must be able to produce documentation using Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English required. Use of Microsoft Outlook email and associated tools is imperative.
• Close vision of computer screens/monitors. Must be able to walk up/down a one flight stairwell as well as board range craft and fixed/rotary wing aircraft. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
• This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required.
• A valid US passport and driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to reside in a remote location with limited medical facilities as required.
