UAS Project Engineer
The Opportunity:
CACI is looking for a Project Engineer to support the Endurance Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (EUAS) Product Office, providing support to the Assistant Product Manager (APM) for the MQ-1C Gray Eagle System. This Project Engineering position is responsible for providing technical support and leadership in Defense Acquisition System and System of Systems Integration. Coordinate EUAS efforts and assist in managing technical efforts with the Prime System Developer and other government offices/agencies and contractors. Assist in monitoring cost, schedule and performance for technical activities within the EUAS product office. Assist in design, development, testing, and/or monitoring contractors. Prepare and present technical and programmatic briefings to Civilian Leadership, US Army airworthiness authority, industry partners, and stakeholders. Assist in the development of program milestones, technical documentation, contract requirement packages, various contracting and acquisition strategies to achieve programmatic success. Executes program goals and work within a multi-disciplinary Systems Engineering team, to achieve these goals. Provides team coordination necessary for the development of acquisition strategies and/or COA’s, that are required for discrete efforts in the day-to-day execution of the program. Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment. This position is located at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.
Responsibilities:
Lead and provide technical direction to a multi-disciplined team to accomplish multiple, highly complex, and interrelated Gray Eagle system, to include the Ground Segment.
Develop and implement technical solutions to complex, multi-disciplined technical challenges.
Monitor cost, schedule, and performance for technical activities within the EUAS product office.
Lead team in managing internal team and contractor progress within estimated time frames and budget constraints.
Review work products for completeness and adherence to requirements, manage risk/issue management, and brief senior leadership on status, risks, and issue resolution.
Coordinate EUAS Production and Sustainment efforts with internal and external organizations, such as UAS TMD, Army labs, PD SAI, PM AMSA, PM TAGM, National Guard Bureau, Joint Services, and industry Partners.
Prepare and present technical and programmatic briefings to management, partners, and stakeholders.
Assist in the development of milestone and technical documentation for contract requirements packages and various contracting and acquisition strategies.
Oversee execution of programmatic goals and work within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve these goals.
Assist in the development of integrated master schedules, strategic roadmaps, coordinate milestone activities amongst internal and external stakeholders, derive necessary technical documentation in support of contract requirements packages and various contracting and acquisition strategies.
Qualifications:
Required:
BS required with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience preferred.
Product Level Management Experience under an ACAT I or II program preferred.
Experience in related field of expertise at the program level, ideally in providing programmatic and/or systems engineering/integration support to major DoD acquisition activities.
Experience in complex aviation system development, testing, fielding, training, and life-cycle sustainment.
Thorough knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, Contract/Subcontract terminology and business practices.
Experience administering various contract types (Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Cost Plus Incentive Fee, Firm Fixed Price).
Demonstrated experience working individually as well as organizing and facilitating working group flow.
Must be able to prepare detailed technical reports and briefings (using Microsoft PowerPoint) suitable for presentation to senior level military and corporate leaders, as well as present material orally.
Must have a strong understanding of Army Acquisition processes, Milestone Documentation, in support of the program decision process, in a military setting
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office suite of products
Must have the ability to work in a teaming environment and have the personality to interface with numerous Government and contractor personnel in a rapid-paced, dynamic environment
Knowledge of the acquisition process including development, test and evaluation, contracting, production, and fielding
Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, are a must
Professional experience using Microsoft Office applications to include Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, and Word proficiently
Candidate must possess strong oral and written communication skills
Must be a self-starter, that thrives in a dynamic team environment
Candidate must possess a proven ability to develop and provide reports to management

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$110,300 - $242,700
