What You Will Do

Manufacturing Support Services has and opening for a Tool Repair Planner.

  • Review incoming tooling request from Manufacturing Engineers, Production Supervisors, Working Leaders and Inspection for manufacture, alteration and repair of durable tooling

  • Work with customer to gain a complete understanding of the task and create SAP notifications an PM Orders with estimates for cost and scheduled delivery

  • Work with suppliers to provide a functional tool of good quality to meet the customer’s production requirements for durable tooling

  • Work with buyers to procure quotes and manage supplier activities

  • Set-up repairs/alterations, new makes and rejects thru SAP

  • Order raw material and standard components to support in-house fabrication

  • Identify and resolve any technical issues for manufacture, design, inspection and tool try-out

  • Provide routine status report to customer and tooling management thru SAP; manage SAP reports on a daily basis, updates, close-outs and update SAP with current Mod Centers, Costing Elements for Finance

  • Highlight potential missed delivers and quality concern and recommend recovery

  • Work with Calibrated tooling thru Inspection

  • Work with SAP P10, CRT system thru Wesco/Bruckner, Blueprint system Docaccess and DDMv6.7

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment OR an Associate's degree and 7 or more years of experience in in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment

  • In absence of a degree, High School diploma/GED or equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, procurement, materials management, or tooling design/tool room environment

  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

  • Demonstrated proficiency in various tooling fixtures and gauging a plus

  • Ability to Read and understand tooling blue prints

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Project management experience

  • Knowledge and use of SAP

  • Tooling experience

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
