Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Tool and Gauge Inspector – Level 4 to join our team in Magna, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
In this role you will perform tool inspections on various programs and assembles/disassembles tooling according to best shop practices.
Perform the required inspections in accordance with procedures and planning documentation and routinely coordinate and interface inspections with Customer and/or Government Representatives.
This position will work a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Technical strengths in processing, operations, and inspection, and possess the ability to plan and organize work to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Work multiple programs while maintaining attention to detail.
- Interpret drawings and specifications. A working knowledge and understanding of GD&T and AMSE Y14.5.
- Perform certification review on supplier documentation
- Be able to identify of technical needs and solutions coupled with a strong program execution focus.
- Possess excellent communication skills and effective interface with Mission Assurance department members, suppliers, customers, all other departments within the organization and both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Ability to record detail information accurately, timely and follow instructions.
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
- Have an understanding with standard Mechanical Inspection techniques and tools.
- Must have good computer skills - MS Office able to learn Costpoint, QMIS, EPLM
- Self-Starter and ability to work through an issue to closure
- Ability to articulate and enforce quality standards and specify reasoning for deviations/nonconformance to standards
- Must have ability to travel to sites

Leica Laser Tracker
Advanced Polyworks experience
Advanced GD&T knowledge
- Programming capabilities are preferred.

Primary Level Salary Range: $74,500.00 - $124,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
