As a Third Party Logistics Specialist, you will serve as a key member of a new team supporting our Logistics Center in Marana, Arizona.  In this role, you will provide operational support and assistance to our third party logistics supplier.  This is an exciting time to join the team.  Tremendous demand for Raytheon's products and services will ensure the role is fast paced with high levels of corporate visibility.  The warehouse facility is a brand new 435,000 square foot building.  With the facility infrastructure being designed and built as we speak, you'll join the team at the ground level and get to be a part of something special.

What You Will Do

  • Monitor 3PL Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).  Where deficiencies are identified, work with the 3PL Supplier to drive root cause and corrective action.  Report performance to senior leadership. 

  • Understand Raytheon factory needs and ensure 3PL supplier is meeting those needs.

  • Monitor Supplier work instructions and process flows to ensure 3PL supplier is working in compliance to Raytheon requirements. 

  • Support audits, both Raytheon and 3PL Supplier audits, including audits from internal Raytheon audit teams, government agencies, and customer agencies. 

  • Monitor Statement of Work (SOW) for 3PL Supplier compliance to all contractual requirements.  Where necessary, modify contractual requirements or lead 3PL supplier process modifications.  Formalize contractual changes via approved processes.

  • Collaborate with multiple Raytheon departments, including, but not limited to, Procurement, Inventory Compliance, Property Management, Quality, Operations, and Production Control to ensure Supplier support is harmonized across the entire Raytheon landscape. 

  • Support standard work initiatives to implement common processes within 3PL Supplier operations. 

  • Support safety initiatives that impact both Raytheon and Supplier.  Be a safety champion and help to drive a strong safety culture. 

  • This position requires to be onsite at our Marana, AZ location.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.

  • Prior experience in operating within a Logistics operation, 3PL environment, or collaborating with a 3PL Supplier.

  • Special Program Access or other Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with Six Sigma, or other Process improvement methodologies.

  • American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification.

  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain Top Secret or higher clearance level or program access after start date.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
