Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Multi-Domain Operations, Missile Defense Integration Business Unit (BU), has an exciting career opportunity for a Test Engineer/Principal Test Engineer to join our team located in Huntsville, AL.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.
This requisition may be filled at a higher level based on qualifications listed below.
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at a Test Engineer or a Principal Test Engineer level.
Basic Qualifications for a Test Engineer (Level 2) are:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and no experience.
Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.
Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.
Experience in C++ development
Strong background using Python
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope U.S. Government DoD issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Test Engineer (Level 3) are:
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year of experience with a PhD.
Design, develop, implement, and execute test plans, integration plans, and procedures to complete system-level integration testing.
Ability to understand and interpret requirements and test guidance to complete system-level integration testing.
Experience developing testing criteria to successfully satisfy requirements.
Experience in C++ development
Strong background using Python
Experience using Eggplant
Experience with Gitlab or Bitbucket
Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs.

Security+ certification
GMD/GWS Domain Knowledge
Java experience/understanding
Experience using TATS tool
Active, in-scope U.S. Government DoD Top Secret clearance
