Test Automation Engineer
The Opportunity:
Join our team supporting USTRANSCOM's Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), a mission-critical enterprise platform that modernizes transportation, logistics, and financial operations through SAP S/4HANA ERP integration. We're looking for an accomplished Software Test Automation Engineer to lead end-to-end test automation efforts for this large-scale SAP implementation. Your expertise in Tricentis TOSCA, SAP testing frameworks, and UiPath will be essential to ensuring system reliability and performance. In this role, you'll partner with cross-functional teams—including developers, business analysts, and product owners—to deliver robust, scalable SAP solutions. You'll architect and maintain sophisticated automated test suites covering SAP workflows, system integrations, and custom extensions, while ensuring compliance with federal Section 508 accessibility standards.
Responsibilities:
Requirements Analysis: Review user stories and functional requirements to identify test scenarios, edge cases, and acceptance criteria
Test Automation Development: Design, build, and maintain automated test scripts for SAP Fiori, Mendix applications, workflows, and integrations using Tricentis TOSCA
Comprehensive Testing: Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across JTMS modules and customizations within a SAFe Agile framework
Accessibility Compliance: Perform Section 508 compliance validation using ANDI and Lighthouse tools to meet federal accessibility mandates
Defect Management: Document defects with detailed reproduction steps, track issues to resolution, and communicate findings effectively to development teams
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with SAP and Mendix developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and maximize test coverage
Test Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data sets, and traceability matrices aligned with SAFe Agile practices
Agile Participation: Actively engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance testing processes, tools, and quality assurance practices
Qualifications:
Required:
Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance (required)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
Experience: Minimum 5 years in software testing with strong emphasis on test automation
SAP/Mendix Expertise: Proven hands-on experience testing SAP S/4HANA and Mendix applications, including workflows and integrations
Automation Tools: Demonstrated proficiency with Tricentis TOSCA, SAP testing methodologies, and UiPath automation platforms
Accessibility Testing: Experience conducting Section 508 compliance testing using ANDI and Lighthouse tools
Agile Methodology: Strong working knowledge of SAFe Framework, SDLC, and Agile development practices
Technical Skills: Experience with ServiceNow CWM (Collaborative Work Management) for Agile test management and defect tracking
Core Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments
Desired:
Certifications: ISTQB, ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer, or similar testing certification
Advanced Testing: Experience with API testing, performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner), and test automation frameworks
DevOps Knowledge: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, and DevOps best practices
Government Experience: Previous experience supporting federal agencies or Department of Defense clients
SAP Certifications: SAP testing or Tricentis TOSCA certification

The proposed salary range for this position is:
