What You Will Do:
This position sits within the Lifecycle Engineering department, part of the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Systems organization under Systems Engineering. The team plays a vital role in delivering logistics, training, and technical manual support for Raytheon’s domestic and international defense system customers, supporting products throughout their full development and sustainment lifecycle.
As a Technical Editor in the Integrated Systems Training Team, you’ll support the creation of documentation to be used by our instructional team to teach system operators and maintainers role-based and new equipment training. In this role, you’ll work closely with co-workers, subject matter experts, and customers to understand and meet product expectations.
- Perform editing, proofreading, and quality control functions to produce technical training documents in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and appropriateness of style, format, syntax, and spelling.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in in English, Journalism, Communications or related discipline obtained by start date.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Teams.
- Experience using common electronic test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, vector network analyzers (VNAs) digital multimeters (DMMs) and signal generators for circuit characterization, debugging and validation.
- Experience referencing and implementing various writing style guides (e.g., MLA, APA, Chicago, etc.)
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and/or Kofax/Tungsten Power PDF to create shareable files.
- Demonstrated experience writing or editing technical documentation and/or instructional materials.
- Experience working with collaborative teams to achieve shared goals.
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Experience writing technical documents using The Gregg Reference Manual.
- Experience working with the military or interacting with DoD customers.
- Experience using military technical manuals.
- Experience in training or instruction.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
