Technical Specialist – Fuel and Brake Lines

Job Description

DUTIES: Develop and maintain Bill of Materials and technical strategies to support best enterprise cost for the fuel system while maintaining Safety and Compliance as a priority. Continue to develop and maintain CCC sourcing strategy with the Purchasing Team. Develop and maintain Technically Approved Supplier List in conjunction with Single Source planned roll out. Work with Approved Suppliers to ensure continued compliance to requirements and process capabilities. Work with Suppliers to develop and implement plans to support Fuel System 100% virtual target. Support and direct global program development and common execution methods. Create and maintain component timeline templates to support fuel system development and validation within the various Global Vehicle Development Process frameworks. Support Quality Chain Processes: Baseline DFMEA in the FMEA Integration Tool (FIT) and work to ensure the link from DFMEA to the PFMEA at the subsystem and system level. Support KCDS Global Template including the authoring the Auros K-PACs to amend the template. Complete assigned Safety Tether PRTS issues with urgency to identify Read Across of parent PRTS, Systemic Root Cause, and well documented Systemic Solution(s). Complete assigned Prevent Repeat Defects (PRD) PRTS issues and read across PRD’s with urgency to identify Essence of Learning and Quality Chain Impact and identify any read across applications. Develop and maintain commodity specific SOR templates, GMW specifications, Best Practices, and Interface Control Documents in line with system safety and regulatory requirements. Support quality assessments and peer reviews to ensure component and or system design(s) meet all requirements. Generate and maintain the DRE Learning Path lessons. Generate and maintain the UPC/FNA part description guides. Support Global Safety and Field Investigations issues, Emerging Issue Identification investigations, OEM Recall reviews and Safety Analytics investigations. Support Advanced Technical Work (ATW) projects and proposals for new ATW technology ideas and projects. Provide DRE guidance for applicable regulations identified in the Regulatory Check List. Hybrid Work Policy – 3 days In-Office, 2 Days Remote – Must be able to report to local office.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Engineering Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study and Two (2) years of experience Design Release Engineer, Product Engineer, or related role. Two (2) years of experience with the following: Fuel System components, interactions, and diagnostics including gas and diesel systems; Creating DFMEA and PFMEA’s; Working with cross

functional highly integrated safety systems; and Tolerance stack ups and methods to validate with consideration of complete tolerance range.
