This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.
The selected SW Configuration Analyst 3 will join the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Weapons System (GWS) Configuration Management and Data Management (CM/DM) Team supporting successful and compliant execution of all phases of Configuration & Data Management (CDM) principles (planning, configuration identification, change control, status accounting, verification/audits, and data management).
Key Responsibilities:
Supports CM activities across the GMD weapon‑system portfolio, encompassing software, integration with subcontractor-produced hardware, and all sites.
Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products.
Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable.
Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use.
Completes SW CM and media integrity checks.
May develop software configuration standards for program-wide use.
Works with software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards.
Upholds configuration control and certifies baselines revisions throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitors configuration‑data repositories to maintain data integrity, traceability, security and accessibility.
Supports the harmonization of CDM processes and tools while championing innovative solutions to improve efficiency.
Operate and plan in an Agile environment.
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and work closely with Program/Engineering leadership to ensure long-term/short-term milestones are accomplished.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 5 years of relevant experience in Configuration Management; or a Master’s Degree plus 3 years of relevant CM experience.
Must be a U.S. Citizen and must have the ability to obtain a DOD security clearance to a level of Secret, which is required to start.
Understanding and demonstrated experience with the implementation of configuration management standards and practices (e.g., ISO, ANSI, CMII) and baseline management.
Experience with analyzing proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system baseline.
Experience in reviewing contract documents to determine documentation/product delivery requirements for each phase of project.
Experience using configuration and data management tools.
Experience working configuration management in a highly regulated industry.
Experience performing and analyzing data integrity scans.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment full-time.
Ability and willingness to travel 10% to support business needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong Software Configuration Management background.
Experience operating in Agile development environments.
Experience using Bitbucket, Confluence, and Jira.
Experience with CM and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
Experience running and analyzing Checksum scans.
Demonstrated implementation of configuration status accounting / CM verification.
Strong knowledge of how business processes work together to ensure interfaces with other business processes are efficient.
Experience managing customer deliverables (CDRLs) and/or supplier deliverables (SDRLs).
Experience in developing impact assessments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,900.00 - $148,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
